Taking care of your Windsor Workshop piece...

Like a fine wine, wood gets better with age. But it requires care and maintenance to protect your furniture. Here are some simple ways to ensure the lifespan of your collection:

  • Avoid direct sunlight, as it might cause wood to darken.
  • High temperatures, and ranges in humidity, can cause damage to both the finish and the wood itself. The single most important thing you can do for your pine furniture is maintain adequate humidity in your home.
  • Use a trivet when placing anything hot or humid on the furniture, to prevent damage to the lacquer finish.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the furniture¹s surface. If desired, use a mild cleaning solution of 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water. We do not recommend using a silicon based cleaning product, as this will damage the finish.
  • Promptly wipe up spills to avoid potential damage.
